Kris Denney Owner and Funeral Director

Kris Denney, is Ron's son and he has followed in his father's footsteps. He is a second generation funeral director and the current owner with his wife Andrea since 2018.

Kris, a native of Lawrenceburg, Indiana is the son of Ron Denney and Carol Kleine-Purcell. He graduated from Lawrenceburg High School in 1994. He served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, stationed in Kings Bay Georgia aboard the nuclear powered submarine USS Maryland.

After graduating from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2002, Kris received his insurance license to sell pre-need products and his funeral director's license in 2003.

Kris is married to Aurora native, Andrea Walston Denney and they have 2 wonderful children, son Chase and daughter, Cadence. Kris is involved in his community through the Lawrenceburg Masonic lodge, the Southeastern Indiana Shrine Club, and Lawrenceburg Kiwanis.

His hobbies include playing golf and spending time with his family.

Sandy Tufts Office Manager

Sandy is a life long resident of Dearborn County, Indiana. She has two children, 7 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She has been the office manager at Fitch-Denney for 15 years. She currently lives in Greendale, Indiana. She loves spending time with her family and friends.

Chase Pfeffer Associate

Chase is the son of Kris Denney and Andrea Walston Denney. He was a 2017 graduate of South Dearborn High School in Aurora, Indiana and a 2020 gradute of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Chase is the third generation to work in the business. In his free time Chase enjoys working out and spending time with his friends riding razors.

Lynn Welch Family Service Advisor

Lynn Welch, our Family Service Advisor, will work to provide support and encouragement to our families before and after the need arises.

Through literature, referrals, visits and pre-planning information, she is here to assist the families we serve. We are interested in the total well-being of individuals who deal with the loss of a loved one. We are always ready to provide quality service to our community.

Ron Denney Past Owner

Ron Denney, purchased the Fitch-Denney Funeral Home in 1973. He was a 1966 graduate of Lawrenceburg High School. After graduating, Ron served his country in the U.S. Navy until 1969. He then attended and graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Now he proudly serves his community as a funeral director.

Ron also served his community with several organizations. He was the Vice-Chairman of Dearborn Savings Board since 1976. He was a member of the Dearborn County hospital board. Ron has served as a former President of the Lawrenceburg Kiwanis, President of the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce and as the past Director of the District 8 Indiana Funeral Directors Association, Lawrenceburg Masons and Shrine Club.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. His wife Bobbie, helps part-time at the funeral home since retiring from teaching. His 2 sons, Kris and Kelly and his 3 stepchildren, Matt and wife Holly, Sarah and husband, Andrew Lansing, and Rachel and husband, Steve Baudendistel help make the family a big and happy one.

His hobbies include playing the guitar, golfing and spoiling his grandchildren.
